: We want to first thank this board for answering our questions about the Palace!! It was an amazing resort that we plan to return in the next year or two. The staff was excellent - hotel was clean...and the food was fabulous!!! The hotel was elegant, great for honeymooners... And there's so much to do at the resort, you really didn't have to leave.

: A few notable things for those planning to go: The Palace offers the following water sports for FREE: windsurfing, sailing, catamaran, kayaking, boggie boards, and snorkeling equipment.

: Take dance lessons with Luis and tell him we said hi!! He'll teach you salsa, merengue, mambo, and latin line dancing!!! it's free and he offers these lessons every day at 4PM. You get to practice these steps almost every night after dinner where they have dancing!! or at the RIU Tequila's disco, named La Pinata.

: Don't miss the Mariachis! They're fun and they perform 1 night only around 10PM...we missed them at the Palace but was able to catch them at the Tequila one night!!

: Walk to the Playacar shopping center...only a 5 minute walk....we found shopping there was the best for little souvenirs - cheap!! Bring lots of $1 USD for those little purchases.

: We tipped Miguel, who cleaned our room, and he thanked us by making two swans out of towels...it was sooo cute.

: Go to Coba and Tulum. Climb the main Mayan temple in Coba - it's steep, a bit scary at first, but the view from the summit makes it all worth it. Take a bathing suit to Tulum (we forgot ours)...there's a beautiful beach there.

: Take their cooking class there - they teach you Mexican cuisine!! again, free.

: Don't leave without checking out the disco at the Tequila across the street...

: Relax and take a nap in one of their many hammocks....

: That's all for now...so much to share about the Palace...We miss it so much already....but feel free to ask questions!!!
