*** January/February is peak time. You can't compare the winter prices to other times of the year. Check out a few travel services to make sure you are getting the best deal. I personally find January/February a great time to go to the Yucatan. This is the drier part of the year for that region and it is great to get away from colder climates. It is well worth the difference in price if you have the extra money. ***
