It sounds high to me. Did you check out GWV or TNT package tours? I know that GWV sometimes offers discounted rates for travelling on Mondays.
When I was booking for last spring I waited and, although I saved about $100 per person, I did not get my dates. (I usually go through GWV from Boston.)
