I agree with Suze about the weather. Absolutely guaranteed good, consistent, weather. Spent the first two weeks of Feb there last year, and are set to return again shortly (see my trip report below). You will not need to take clothing for rain or cool evenings.

I would very much recommend the Ve el Mar restaurant in Santa Cruz. Excellent food, and right on the beach next to the church. The prices are pretty good, too.

Another restaurant to try is a La Cremerie (not sure if that's the correct spelling) in La Crucecita. They claim to have the best pizza around, and are probably right. Only open in the evenings though, so don't go there for lunch.
