We stayed at the Gala last year starting Feb. 22. The weather is absolutely perfect. We honestly never saw one cloud in the sky the whole week. Every single day was the same as the day before. Our first evening I put on capri's for dinner and had to go back to change into something cooler as I was too hot. The sand does get hot mid afternoon, you either run to the water or wear your shoes to the edge. Palapa's are a must as you cannot stay in the direct sun all day. Don't take any of this as a negative....it was so nice to never have to worry about the weather and the natural cooling off of the ocean or a pool is always only steps away.
8 of us booked a charter boat privately to take us out on a snorkeling and bay tour. It was great. Private bookings are the norm there and many vendors available to book from. We also took a taxi ourselves into both towns and also to La Bocana beach for a mud bath. All easy to do.
I absolutely love Huatulco and can't wait to go back.

: anyone stayed in Huatulco in mid February, what is the weather like?
: what resort would you recommend?does the sand get hot during the afternoon?
: would you recommend any restaurants in Santa Cruz?
: would you recommend any day trips?
