I forgot my comments about the Royal club. We did upgrade and in some ways it was worth it and some ways not...I do think that for the difference in price they need to offer more.
We had a guaranteed oceanfront room which in itself was worth it for us. We never used the lounge area and we only stayed on the "special" gold beach the first day...people we met hadn't upgraded so we slummed it with them on the main beach...but seriously...not really a difference...in fact the roped off gold beach area looks rather silly. We did the al-a-carte breakfast one morning...nice but not necessary...the reservation system was nice. The late checkout was well worth it...we kept our room til 3 p.m. and taxied to the airport instead of taking the transfer...gave us an extra 4 hours at the hotel from the standard rooms...so if your flight is later in the day, combined with the oceanfront room....personally i would book it again. If i had an morning flight...probably not. Hope that helps.:
