: On a ride from Playa Del Carmen to the airport in Cancun, out bus had no gas peddle. There was a rope that was attached to the engine (I'm not sure to where or what) and it was threaded up through a hole in the floor of the bus where the gas peddle should have been. The driver pulled on this to accelerate. It broke once during the trip and the driver had to get out and fix things before we could go any further.
