Hello there. We love Cozumel and have been there several times. We are actually going on a cruise with several friends which will dock in Progresso for one day. Is it safe to rent a car and drive to Chitzen Itza from there? Merida looks very very inviting also. Has anyone done the "City Tour" of Merida? Are there any good restaurants in Merida that you could recommend? Anything we should not miss while we are in the area? Your advice will be much appreciated.
